Cheadle Co-op pavement to be repaired

Following pressure from the Lib Dems, the section of dodgy pavement in front of the Co-op on Cheadle High Street will be repaired.

The pavement – immediately in front of the entrance to the Co-op and behind the bus stop – is dangerously uneven with one section pushed up and the next pressed down.

This should be sorted out in the next few weeks.

What about getting the bike stand replaced at the same time; they were removed when this was re-flagged last time and the promise that they would be replaced never materialised

The pavement outside Quality Save/Superdrug is very uneven too!!

Hi Iain,

How about a review of ALL the pavements in Cheadle – they are in a right state, the pavement outside Massey the Jewellers is very uneven just to name one place out of many!

Any idea when we might expect the whole of Cheadle Pavements to be replaced? and you know what I am going to say next – the pavements in Gatley are looking very nice! :)

Hi Kath,

We’ve already started asking people what should be done to the roads and pavements in Cheadle – we’ve had something in our Keeping in Touch newsletter and on the blog.

There’ll be more consultation, with the aim to come up with a plan over the summer.
