OK, not that old – cycle route 558 from Manchester Airport to Stockport Town Centre has been around for a couple of months and the signing still isn’t quite completed.  I cycled part of it today, just from Kingsway school across to Councillor Lane.

If you spot some odd squares of red tarmac on the route like this one on Silverdale Road, Gatley…

…they’ll hopefully soon turn into helpful route markers like this one outside Kingsway School:
